Sounds like Matt Hardy’s TNA run will include his wife and kids

After the lights went out at TNA’s Rebellion PPV last Saturday night (April 20), Broken Matt Hardy made his return to the promotion where the character was born.

Hardy later clarified that he wasn’t signing an exclusive contract with TNA, and will still appear whenever — and presumably wherever and for whomever — he wants. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some goals and plans for his third run with the promotion formerly known as Impact.

And if Broken Matt does in fact join Hardy’s previous iterations as TNA/Impact World champ, he won’t be alone. His wife Reby and their children (particularly “King” Maxel) were prominent parts of Matt’s initial time as the Broken character, and he tells Busted Open Radio (h/t Fightful for transcription) that “House Hardy” will also be a part of this run… however long it lasts. In fact, the chance to bring in his family and do something at his “Compound” in North Carolina is part of why he chose to work with TNA:

“This thing that I’m going to do with Moose and The System coming up over the next few weeks, I think it’s going to be a very interesting series. They also really lured me in when they offered doing Broken Matt Hardy again.

“They said, ‘We’d love to do that,’ and using House Hardy. My wife [Reby Hardy], she is in great shape right now, she’d be up for wrestling a match. King Maxel, Gotchic Baby, and I feel my wife couple utilize some TNA stuff, she’s a social media influencer, huge on TikTok right now. I think she can help boost the status and rep of TNA. Selling my family and talking about a Hardy Compound appearance, that’s what sold me on these dates.”
