Solo Sikoa is coming into his own

on

Roman Reigns is taking time away from WWE television following WrestleMania 40 and the end of his four year run as WWE Universal champion. Even believing this was coming, I was still nervous about how the company would follow up.

Not with Cody Rhodes, for what it’s worth. No, I wondered how they could ever maintain interest in The Bloodline and its story.

The answer, now, is quite clear.

Solo Sikoa.

Watch him coming into his own in real time with each passing moment:

He’s always been good, but he looks comfortable in a way he didn’t before, with a relaxed confidence that instantly gives way to a vicious killer at the drop of a hat. I love all of that.

Even better, though, was how he responded to fans booing the ever loving shit out of him when he tried to speak on the microphone in the ring. Pittsburgh responded to him with the kind of heat we usually see reserved for the likes of Dominik Mysterio, and he played right into it beautifully, allowing it to pulsate and grow before finally shouting over it.

He even sounds more comfortable speaking now. He’s playing this part so very well, with a supporting cast who are enhancing the story perfectly.

This is a fantastic new chapter for The Bloodline.

Anyway, here are all the videos from SmackDown this week:
