Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers did work last season
The Las Vegas Raiders’ offense has plenty of issues on offense in the 2023 NFL season.
But the play of starting wide receivers Davante Adams and Jakobi Meyers wasn’t part of the issue. A recent tweet by NFL analyst Warren Sharp showed that the Raiders got among the most receiving yards from their receivers who were aligned on the outside. The Raiders totaled 1,865 receiving yards from the outside last season. According to Sharp, it was the eighth most in the NFL last season. Here is the complete list:
2023 receiving yards by receivers aligned out wide:
2,459 – MIA
2,305 – HOU
2,206 – SEA
2,132 – LAR
2,029 – MIN
1,951 – PHI
1,887 – DAL
1,865 – LV
1,851 – CIN
1,842 – PIT
1,836 – DET
1,828 – LAC
1,821 – TB
1,804 – NO
1,731 – IND
1,716 – BUF
1,702 – CLE
1,640 – SF
1,566 – WAS…— Warren Sharp (@SharpFootball) April 20, 2024
There’s no reason to think Adams and Meyers won’t produce big again in 2024 and if the Raiders can get better overall play on the offense, it could help the team take the next step on offense.
