At the Puntacana Resort & Club’s Corales Golf Course, among the favorites for the title is Nicolai Hojgaard. The Danish golfer, winner of the 2021 Italian Open at Marco Simone Golf & Country Club in Rome, where he also represented Team Europe in the 2023 Ryder Cup, is coming off a 16th-place finish at Augusta in the 88th edition of the Masters, where he briefly held the lead during the third round. The 23-year-old from Billund, who was the runner-up in last year’s Corales Puntacana Championship, aims to celebrate his first career title on the American male professional golf circuit. However, Matt Wallace will be absent. The Englishman edged out Hojgaard by one stroke in 2023.
