SB Nation Reacts Results: Vikings fans predict the team’s first pick

What do they think the team is going to do?

Good morning, and happy NFL Draft Day to those of you who observe (which should be pretty much everybody here reading this). We’ve got the results from this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey about the Minnesota Vikings and we’re here to share them with you this morning ahead of tonight’s selection meeting.

The first question we asked was what everyone thought the Vikings were going to do with the 11th pick in this year’s Draft, and quite a few people believe that a move is going to be made early on.

Of those that responded to our survey, 58% believe that Kwesi Adofo-Mensah and company are going to swing a trade to move up the draft board this evening to make their selection. I tend to agree, given everything we’ve seen this offseason and what we’ve been hearing for most of the last month and a half or so. 38% of you think that the team is going to stay put and pick at #11, while just 4% think that they’re going to trade down, which would be an absolute shocker, to be honest.

So, what position do our fans think the purple will address with that first selection? Well, there seems to be a consensus there, too.

A whopping 84% of our respondents believe that it’s going to be quarterback time with the team’s first pick, while just 16% believe the team will draft another position the first time they get on the clock. It’s hard to go against that, to be honest. You don’t generally make really dramatic moves up the board unless you’re going up to get a quarterback, and the sort of deals that we’re hearing about for the Vikings would certainly qualify as dramatic.

Assuming that our readers are correct on both of these questions, we’ll see the first quarterback drafted in the top ten for the Minnesota Vikings in franchise history this evening, and we’re going to be here covering all of it. We hope you’ll join us!
