The Rams hold pick number 99 the same year that Aaron Donald retires, is it coincidence?
If Rams general manager Les Snead does actually read Turf Show Times, please pay attention to this: Fans want to see Aaron Donald this weekend and you happen to hold the 99th pick of the draft. If you don’t trade it, which you will, can you get Aaron Donald to announce who you’re picking with the 99th pick?
After one of our community members had the great idea to talk about which former Rams players would be best to have announce picks this weekend, the most popular answer was Aaron Donald because most are still coming to terms with his retirement.
Donald should do our 99th

10 years ago this time, Aaron Donald got drafted to the NFL by the @RamsNFL . 10 years later, he will announce the Rams Draft Pick.

It hasn’t been quite 10 years yet—can you believe that the draft used to be in MAY?—but almost 10 years since the Rams announced Aaron Donald as the 13th pick of the 2014 draft, one of the best picks in NFL history. In fact, if you held a draft of every player in NFL history Aaron Donald might go earlier than 13th.
I don’t know what Donald is up to lately, probably working out, but maybe he will find time on Friday to announce the pick for Los Angeles if the Rams make sure to get him on the phone for it. After all, they’re still paying him millions of dollars so why not one last job?
The Rams hold pick 99 because of a compensatory pick for losing AD’s defensive coordinator Raheem Morris to the Atlanta Falcons, so this actually literally has to happen. Right, Les?
