on

PSG would like to wait before deciding on the future of Sergio Ramos. The Parisian club could offer the Spaniard an extension, if he continues to display the same level of performance.

Sergio Ramos, PSG

According to information provided by The Athletic, PSG are in no rush to make a decision on Sergio Ramos’ future. Christophe Galtier and his leaders would for the moment be satisfied with the level displayed by the central defender. They would not have understood the choice of Luis Enrique to do without him during the World Cup. However, they would not want to rush.

A decision will be made at the end of the season.

The media specifies that the Parisians intend to wait a few months before seriously considering the future of Sergio Ramos. If he manages to maintain the current level of his services, an extension of his contract should be offered to him. If this is not the case, his adventure in France should stop there.

Arrived in the summer of 2021, Sergio Ramos took part in 36 games with PSG, for 3 goals and 1 assist. The native of Camas has played 23 games since the start of the season, seeming to regain his level of a few years ago. The evolution of his career is closely followed in Spain, where his departure from Real Madrid has generated controversy. The player was accused of being too greedy, while Florentino Perez did not give him a gift. Some media later claimed that he would no longer be able to play due to his recurring calf injury. It is clear that they were wrong.

The extension of Sergio Ramos is not the only one that the Parisian leaders must manage. Lionel Messi’s contract is also supposed to end next June. The Argentinian should meanwhile be offered a renewal in the coming weeks.
