Daria Kasatkina and Matteo Berrettini practiced together ahead of the start of the upcoming clay season.
After the practice was over, Kasatkina posted a selfie with Berrettini from the practice court and added a caption: “Thanks for the nice practice.”

Kasatkina, who is enjoying a career-high ranking of No 8 in the world, hasn’t really had a great start to the season.
So far, Kasatkina is just 5-8 on the year and she has had multiple early exits at tournaments.
Kasatkina set to compete in a very strong Charleston tournament
At the start of the clay season in Charleston next week, there will be five top-10 players.
Besides Kasatkina, there will be four more top-10 players in Charleston – Aryna Sabalenka, Ons Jabeur, Jessica Pegula and Belinda Bencic.
Recently, the Charleston organizers announced 2020 Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin as a main draw wildcard recipient.
Now, it’s all set for a very strong Charleston player field.
“Adding Sofia to our already strong player field reinforces the level of talent that will be on display in April at the Credit One Charleston Open. As a Grand Slam champion and former top 10 player, we are happy to support her return to tennis competition after injuries. Our attendees are in for a great nine days of tennis in April, where the best in women’s tennis will be in competition at the Credit One Stadium,” Charleston tournament director Bob Moran said.
When it comes to Kasatkina, she is set to make her fourth main draw appearance in Charleston.
In her Charleston debut in 2016, Kasatkina made the quarterfinal.
The following year, Kasatkina returned to Charleston and made it all the way after beating Jelena Ostapenko in the final.
In 2018, Kasatkina didn’t manage to defend her Charleston title after losing to Julia Goerges in the quarterfinal.
It remains to be seen if Kasatkina can start her clay season well and make a deep run in Charleston, where she once made it all the way.
