Bringing your daily links to the NFL’s New York Jets

Good morning Gang Green Nation! The first two rounds of the 2024 NFL draft are in the books. The Jets picked up a top offensive tackle in Olumuyiwa Fashanu in the first round. In the third round the Jets used pick #157 to trade up from #72 to take wide receiver Malachi Corley at pick #65. Corley was apparently a player the Jets wanted so badly they had been trying to trade up for him from somewhere in the 40s range all the way until they finally landed him at #65.

The Jets have five picks remaining today, with three of those picks in the fourth round. Those three fourth round picks are selections Joe Douglas must deliver on. The Jets under Douglas have not had a lot of success in the middle and late rounds. Michael Carter has been superb as the slot cornerback. Other than Carter, Joe Douglas has yet to find a starter past the second round of the draft through his first four drafts as the Jets GM. Now, with three fourth round picks in one of the better pools of talent in recent memory, the Jets need to find some mid round gems to replenish the youth movement going forward. There’s still talent available. Let’s see if Douglas is up to the task of finding it.
