The Miami Dolphins have made their second selection of the 2024 NFL Draft’s sixth round.

The Miami Dolphins used the eight pick in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft to select Virginia wide receiver Malik Washington. The team came back on the clock 14 picks later for a second sixth-round selection, this time adding Cal safety Patrick McMorris.

McMorris spent four years at San Diego State before playing 2023 at California. He recorded 252 career tackles, along with one sack and six interceptions. McMorris will likely start as a special teams contributor and a reserve safety, potentially seeing work as a big nickel safety.

Miami has put together a solid draft this year, despite not having a third-round pick due to the league’s investigation into a violation of anti-tampering rules. Through their first five picks, Miami has added edge rusher Chop Robinson, tackle Patrick Paul, running back Jaylen Wright, edge rusher Mohamed Kamara, and wide receiver Malik Washington.

The Dolphins still have a seventh-round pick, the 241st overall.

120: Jaylen Wright, RB, Tennessee
