Recently returned to competition, Presnel Kimpembe finds himself on the sidelines again, for an indefinite period. Last Sunday, the central defender suffered a serious injury during the Clasico largely won by Paris Saint-Germain against Olympique de Marseille (3-0), at the Orange Vélodrome. Fallen to the ground on an opposing offensive in the first period and released on a stretcher before his replacement by Danilo Pereira, the 27-year-old French international was diagnosed with a ruptured right Achilles tendon.

Package for the rest of the 2022-2023 season, during which the Ile-de-France number 3 will only have played 15 matches in all competitions including 11 league matches, Presnel Kimpembe spoke for the first time about his injury. In a message posted on instagramthe native of Beaumont-sur-Oise announces that he has been successfully operated on. “A big thank you for all your messages of support. The operation went well. A big thank you to all the medical staff of PSG and to Professor James Calder. Warriors always come back stronger…”
Without Presnel Kimpembe, the players of Christophe Galtier will try to win a new title of champion of France.
