Kenny Omega’s announcement is… Anarchy in the Arena

AEW’s X

One week after being stretchered out of Dynamite (and dumped off said stretcher before it could get him into an ambulance on Rampage) by The Elite, Kenny Omega returned to AEW television on May 8.

With his former friends and fellow Executive Vice-Presidents Matthew & Nicholas Jackson taking over the company after taking out Tony Khan two weeks ago, Omega had an important announcement to make. He delivered it from a hospital bed, saying he had some business to take care of before getting the diverticulitis that’s kept him on the sidelines since last year taken care of.

That business? Booking The Elite in a match at Double or Nothing. And not just any match, but a staple of recent editions of AEW’s Memorial Day weekend PPV… Anarchy in the Arena!

The first two opponents for The Young Bucks, Kazuchika Okada & Jack Perry will familiar foes for Matthew & Nicholas: Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler of FTR. It seemed like Kenny had the other two members of Team AEW in mind, but rather than announcing them he teased they’ll reveal themselves later tonight.

We’ll update this post when they do!

Until then, let us know if you’re excited for this year’s Anarchy in the Arena — and the first PPV match of The Elite vs. AEW program. And get complete results and coverage of everything on the May 8 AEW Dynamite here.
