Jordan Spieth delighted with his first appearance in 2024

on

Jordan Spieth was surprised by how well he played at The Sentry. He finished just two strokes behind Chris Kirk at Kapalua’s Plantation Course despite facing some challenges during the game.

Spieth had a few tough moments on the course. His ball ended up alongside another player’s on the 15th hole, and later on, he had some trouble with his ball stuck in a bunker and landing in a divot.

Although the plugged lie on the 16th cost him a shot, Spieth felt he managed the other situations fine. After the injuries he had and the challenges he faced afterward, Spieth was pleasantly surprised by the quality of his performance. Once again he showed that he has the quality for the greatest things.

“It’s been a tough balance,” he said, as reported by golfmagic.com

“I certainly didn’t put anywhere near the time [practicing] that I had wanted to prior to this event, so in that sense as far as, call it a month ago, I’m a bit surprised at where I’m at right now with my game, which is in a good way.

Spieth felt really good about his game at the start of the week. He’d been practicing a lot and working on his putting, which made him think he had a shot at winning the tournament when it began on Thursday.  The most important thing for him is that he has confidence.

Although it is sometimes difficult to have confidence after a long break, Spieth is aware that despite everything, he is still a great golfer who can win tournaments.

After taking a break, he’s happy because he feels like he’s gained some extra confidence for the busier part of the season. He’s optimistic about how things are going in his golf game and is looking forward to what the season might bring, even if he’s also focusing on things outside of golf. Fans of this golfer hope that the future will bring good stories for him.
