Jannik Sinner said he was happy with the performance shown in his Miami Open second round match. The Italian defeated Laslo Djere with the final score of 6-4, 6-2, gaining the pass for the third round of the tournament. At the end of the match, the Italian analyzed the match on the Tennis Channel microphones.
He told: “I give myself a 7 for the match done. It wasn’t easy to play with the pitch conditions, it was very windy and on the one hand you had the sun in your eyes as you served. The race was a bit of a rollercoaster ride but I’m glad I won.”
On the conditions between the two US Masters 1000, Indian Wells and Miami, he underlined: “The plane that brought me here was a bit late and I wasn’t able to go to bed before 3 in the night between Sunday it’s Monday. So I only had three days to try the course: I saw that the surface is very fast, even faster than last year.”
Sinner came back to talk about Alcaraz
The Italian tennis player then came back to talk about to the semifinal loss in California against the winner of the competition Carlos Alcaraz: “I had my chances, especially in the first set. I had a break point first, then a set point too.
