By now, you’ve heard some impressive numbers about Jake Browning’s overtime win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ replacement quarterback has the record for highest completion percentage in his first two NFL starts (81%).
Browning’s 354 passing yards were the second most in team history by a QB within his first two starts behind Jeff Blake, who threw for 387 against the Seattle Seahawks in his second start, all the way back on November 6, 1994.
And now this: Browning became the very first quarterback in NFL history to compete 85% of his passes while throwing for 350+ yards and rushing for 20+ yards and a touchdown.

Think about all the crazy performances we’ve been by QBs with legs, like John Elway, Warren Moon, Steve Young, Randall Cunningham, Steve McNair, Aaron Rodgers, Cam Newton, Andrew Luck, Russell Wilson, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen… And it’s Jake Browning who first achieves this milestone.
Of course, as Browning himself said, he doesn’t want to be remembered as the guy who had one impressive game on Monday Night Football.
