Gray Zone Warfare Releasing April 30 Into Early Access

on

It has been confirmed by MADFINGER Games that Gray Zone Warfare is launching into early access on April 30. In a new trailer published by the developer, we got an extended look at the game and the creator-backed marketing efforts that took place in the run-up to this reveal. It’s the perfect time for Gray Zone Warfare to hit the market, given recent controversies that have brought Escape from Tarkov’s community to its knees.

Escape from Tarkov is considered the leading extraction shooter on the market. Gray Zone Warfare will not just fit in alongside Tarkov – it threatens to dominate the Russian-built game entirely. There’s a lot of innovation wrapped up in Gray Zone Warfare, which recently held a closed playtest that pulled in some seriously positive reviews.

Gray Zone Warfare is releasing tomorrow, April 30. Isn’t that something?

Sooner Than Expected

Prospective fans of Gray Zone Warfare expected the game to be released in a few months. It’s incredible news that MADFINGER Games has opted to bring it out sooner rather than later, making it available for purchase tomorrow, April 30. It’ll be launching exclusively on Steam and will be much more affordable than Escape from Tarkov, which will be the game’s main competitor going forward. Even purchasing the top tier of Gray Zone Warfare isn’t close to the newest, most expensive version of Tarkov.

Here’s the new trailer showcasing Gray Zone Warfare and the release date:

There are huge expectations for Gray Zone Warfare to deliver on promises made. In the last few months, we’ve learnt about how intense and realistic this shooter aims to be. It features a vast open-world map that can be explored at will without any time-based restrictions. It’s still an extraction shooter at heart, but it fuses survival elements and tactical FPS mechanics with that formula.

I had a chance to play Gray Zone Warfare during a closed playtest and can attest to how clean it is. It’s remarkably well-polished for a game that’s in an alpha state, and it’s only going to get better from here. MADFINGER Games endeavours to weave in a day-night cycle, a dynamic weather system, and vehicles, among other things. There are even talks of a console release coming down the line.

It is going to shake up the market. If you want to invest in Gray Zone Warfare, check out our breakdown of the bundles for the game.
