Some good news for a team that hasn’t had much of it.

While others are using this Christmas Eve to make memories with their families, we instead look forward to the match-up against two teams unlikely to make the playoffs. The Falcons, short of a dramatic turnaround, are headed to yet another losing season. Even facing off against a backup quarterback for Indianapolis, the Falcons are still uncertain to win.

So push aside your family and gear up for a game you are hopeful to forget.

Santa came early this year for the Falcons. No, he didn’t give us a quarterback, but he did bring us a healthy Bud Dupree and David Onyemata, two important pieces to slowing down the Indianapolis offense.

  • OL Kaleb McGary
  • P Pat O’Donnell
  • OL Jovaughn Gwyn
  • DL Tommy Togiai
  • TE John FitzPatrick
  • DL Joe Gaziano
  • OW Logan Woodside

For the Colts, a few big names are out, including Michael Pittman:

  • C Jack Anderson
  • RB Zack Moss
  • LB Segun Olubi
  • WR Michael Pittman Jr.
  • T Braden Smith
  • CB Darrell Baker Jr.
  • DT Eric Johnson II

Pittman was the recipient of a cheap shot by former Falcons Damontae Kazee. That should help Atlanta, but recently the team has been so uncompetitive that it is unclear if this provides an impactful advantage.
