Roberta Liti also offered a good performance in the second round of the 2023 Epson Tour of the season, finishing tenth with 281 (-7) strokes in the Carlisle Arizona Women’s Golf Classic.

On the course of the Longbow Golf Club (par 72), in Mesa in Arizona, she won with 270 (68 67 67 68, -18) the Australian Gabriela Ruffels, who left Kathleen Scavo by two strokes, second with 272 (- 16). She is in third place with 275 (-13) Karen Chung, the Korean Min A Yoon and the Canadian Maude-Aimee Leblanc and in sixth with 276 (-12) the other Korean Minji Kang.
Gabriela Ruffels, 22, born in Orlando (Florida), daughter of two former tennis players, became a golfer in 2015 after practicing tennis with good results. She was number one Australian junior at 12, she won 21 International Tennis Federation doubles matches. She switched to golf, she as an amateur she was the first Australian to establish herself in the U.S. Women’s Amateur (2019). Proette since 2022, she sealed her first title on the Epson Tour by taking the lead in the second round with Scavo and Yoon, remaining alone at the top after the third and controlling the situation in the fourth with a 68 (-4), the result of four birdies without bogey. Overall she scored 19 birdies and only one bogey in the second round over the 72 holes. She received a check for $50,250, out of a $335,000 prize pool, and took first place in the Race For The Card.
Roberta Liti (67 69 72 73), after the good 16th place in the previous Florida’s Natural Charity Classic, confirmed that she was going through a good moment with an almost identical race to the one in Florida, but with better results. In fact, she ran again in the top positions, starting from sixth and passing through fourth and seventh. She finished with a 73 (+1), scoring four birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey, and now occupies eleventh place on the money list.
