Broncos fans are hoping the team trades down in the first round

If you ask Denver Broncos fans – and we did – they prefer the team trade down away from their 12th overall pick.

The Denver Broncos will start the 2024 NFL Draft with the 12th overall selection in the first round, but there is a good chance they move from there. In this week’s SB Nation Reacts survey, I asked fans which of the three options head coach Sean Payton and general manager George Paton have with that first round pick. Should the team stand pat, trade up, or trade back and there was a clear winner on this one: trade back.

61% of fans want the Broncos trade back to accumulate more picks and likely get a quarterback anyway. Only 12% of us think they should be more aggressive and go get that franchise quarterback. Clearly, I was one of the latter as I have seen general managers of this franchise continuously play the safe route in the NFL Draft and everyone calls them geniuses for it only to have those players end up not being the franchise saviors. I say go be aggressive this time and get the guy that you totally believe will save the franchise.
