Lots of positive reactions for Sean Payton and George Paton’s draft.

Days 2 and 3 of the NFL Draft proved to be a haul for the Denver Broncos who came away with strong players filling some important holes on the roster.

After mixed fan reactions Thursday night on Twitter following the Bo Nix pick, it was like the positive vibes just started building throughout the weekend.

Sitting out the second round with no picks, the Broncos grabbed Utah edge rusher Jonah Elliss early in the third round and then traded up with the Seahawks so they could grab Oregon wideout Troy Franklin – and favorite target of Bo Nix last season.

With their next picks the Broncos added Missouri cornerback Kris Abrams-Draine followed by Notre Dame running back Audric Estimé.

And then the Broncos announced a trade with the Jets in what was perhaps the biggest steal of the weekend. For a sixth-round pick in two years, the Jets handed over defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers.

It even seemed like the non-believers in Broncos Country started coming around on Bo Nix as Sean Payton added weapons to the offense.

But if you were a non-believer Thursday, that’s OK.

Elliss, Franklin, Abrams-Draine, Estimé and Franklin-Myers are here to set you straight.

Despite the excitement over the draft picks, Broncos Country might have been most ecstatic about acquiring Franklin-Myers.
