Will the Bengals have their best weapon?

The final injury report for the Cincinnati Bengals is out ahead of their big New Year’s Eve matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The biggest name on the Bengals’ report is Ja’Marr Chase. After being limited in practice on Thursday, Chase was again limited on Friday. When speaking to the media Thursday, Chase sounded like a guy who was going to play.

Head coach Zac Taylor told the media “We’ll see,” when asked about Chase’s status. It sounds like Chase may see how he feels in pregame warmups and go from there.

Also questionable with a groin injury is cornerback Jalen Davis, who was a limited participant in practice Friday.

Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt was a full participant for his third straight practice since returning from injured reserve. With no game status listed, he should be good to go.

Defensive end Cameron Sample (knee) went full for the second straight day, so he is trending toward playing, as is Mitchell Wilcox (foot), who was back to a full participant in Friday’s practice.

Running back Joe Mixon (ankle) was a new addition to the report. A limited practice Friday could be a cause for concern, but he received no game status, so he should be good to go.

For Kansas City, they look to be down a few key pieces. Arrowhead Pride’s Pete Sweeney reports that left tackle Donovan Smith and wide receiver Kadarius Toney will both be out Sunday.

The Chiefs’ top cornerback, L’Jarius Sneed (calf) is listed as questionable.

The Chiefs running back room has been a question mark all week with Isiah Pacheco (concussion/shoulder) practicing on Friday and Clyde Edwards-Helaire battling an illness. So Kansas City could have their top two running backs after all.

Sweeney also reports that speedy wide receiver Mecole Hardman may be activated before Sunday’s kickoff.
