The Bengals seem to be planning what they have always done around the trade deadline. Nothing.

Bengals’ trade deadline philosophy likely won’t change and that could create risks
CINCINNATI — The NFL news cycle over the next eight days will be overrun with trade deadline deals and projections. Mock trades, players on the block, sellers, buyers and late-round pick swaps. It kicked off Monday with All-Pro safety Kevin Byard shipped from the Tennessee Titans to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Quick Hits: Orlando Brown Jr. Eyes Return This Week In Nick (Bosa) Of Time; How Cody Ford Backed Up Brown With His Vision Of Bengals
Bengals Pro Bowl left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. doesn’t miss games. He’s only missed one during his six NFL seasons and with big-money sacker Nick Bosa and prototype left tackle Trent Williams looming in San Francisco Sunday (4:25-Cincinnati’s Local 12), he says he won’t miss that one, either.

The Conversation With Trey Hendrickson: ‘If you can agree with the man in the mirror, I think you’re good’
I’ve gotten pretty close to Joey (Boese), Garrett (Swanson), and Todd (Hunt)through this offseason. I spent the offseason training here. I can really feel the difference between previous years and now. I feel good and, like I said, this is the oldest (he turns 29 Dec. 5) I’ve ever been. So taking care of my body is really important to me at this point in my career. And I feel like there’s a lot to look forward to in my game. I think there’s a lot of potential. A lot of things I can correct and kind of talking football and talking life in here is a good thing.

NFL Week 8 picks and predictions: 49ers shocked by Bengals for third straight loss, Browns upset Seahawks
It’s fitting that Week 8 is being played the same week as Halloween because the NFL is giving us a horrifying set of prime-time games this week. I mean, I’ve seen some frightening things in my life, but nothing is quite as jarring as what we’re all about to experience.

This is the year for Bengals to be buyers at NFL trade deadline
It’s a poorly kept secret, perhaps to the point GMs from the other 31 teams don’t even bother to pick up the phone and converse with Bengals director of player personnel Duke Tobin.

Updated AFC North standings as Bengals exit bye week
While the Bengals got some much-needed rest for the likes of Joe Burrow, Tee Higgins and Chidobe Awuzie, the schedule couldn’t throw the team a single win in the form of outside results.

The Bengals will wear white jerseys and black pants on Sunday against the 49ers. Cincinnati is hoping to win their third-straight game.

Bengals seeking statement win over 49ers in Week 8
“I would say so. That’s a Super Bowl contending team over there,” Hilton said, according to Fox 19’s Joe Danneman. “We had an ugly start to our season here so we can turn it around with this one.”

3 Bengals who need more playing time after the bye week
So far, there have been many question marks across the board, and it may be time for some newer, more prominent players to receive more time than they’ve been. Between the overall numbers and visual production, there are some obvious glaring holes that could be fixed. Here are three Bengals who deserve more playing time after the bye week.

NFL Power Rankings, Week 8: Chiefs reclaim No. 1 spot; rampaging Ravens soar into top five
Four of the top seven teams from last week suffered losses, while the four lowest-ranked squads in action all nabbed wins. (Maybe the Panthers wish they weren’t on bye.) Honestly, I felt less shame with the former group than the latter.

Rams release K Brett Maher after three missed kicks in loss to Steelers
Maher’s release comes after he missed two field goals and an extra point in Sunday’s 24-17 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The crucial misses in a one-score game were apparently enough for Sean McVay’s club to quickly move on.

Patriots waive rookie QB/WR Malik Cunningham for second time this year
Cunningham’s release comes just two weeks after he was thrust into the backup QB role behind Mac Jones for a Week 6 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders. Cunningham saw just six snaps’ worth of action, but lined up at QB twice and also out wide and in the slot on two snaps apiece. Days after the game, Patriots offensive coordinator Bill O’Brien extolled Cunningham’s versatility, saying the Pats could see him playing “at different spots throughout the offense,” adding it would be a week-by-week case as to how he was used.

Which NFL team needs to win MORE in Week 8: Jets or Giants? Vikings or Packers? Rams or Cowboys?
Now, in the wake of that wildness, we turn to a Week 8 slate that features a number of consequential matchups. With that in mind, it feels like a perfect time for a round of “Who needs the win MORE?” Let’s dig in, Schein Nine style.
