There were concerns about a possibly serious injury to Powerhouse Hobbs coming out of his IWGP World Heavyweight title match against Jon Moxley on AEW Dynamite last Wednesday (April 24).

Former TBS champion Julia Hart didn’t work matches for almost two months earlier this year due to an undisclosed injury. Then in the build-up to her match at April 21’s Dynasty PPV, Hart reportedly suffered a shoulder injury in her match against Leyla Hirsch for the April 12 Rampage.

A recent report from Fightful Select has updates on both wrestlers, and the news is not good. There are unknowns in both case — namely specifics on the type of injuries Hobbs and Hart are dealing with. But Hobbs’ is said to be significant, and AEW is not expecting him back any time soon.

It’s believed that Hart’s injury will require surgery, although its unconfirmed if it’s her shoulder that will be operated on or some other issue. She’s wrestled twice since the match with Hirsch: a mixed tag on April 17, and when she dropped her belt to Willow Nightingale at the last PPV.

More as we have it.
