AEW COLLISION & BATTLE OF THE BELTS X RESULTS FOR APRIL 13

  • The show starts off with Tony Schiavone and Daddy Magic on commentary discussing Jon Moxley becoming the new IWGP world heavyweight champion at Windy City Riot. Mox will be on Dynamite next week.
  • Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli cut a backstage promo about beating the Don Callis family tonight. They aren’t worried about Don’s threat that his family will injure them in the match. BCC are the ones who hurt people every night, because violence is their specialty.
  • House of Black defeats Matt Sydal, Action Andretti & Dante Martin in a trios match. Darius Martin isn’t in the match because he’s getting his pilot’s license. The babyfaces are doing okay until Brody King tags in and runs them all over. Malakai kicks Action into Brody’s wheelbarrow suplex. Brody then takes flight and dives through the middle ropes onto the babyfaces on the outside. Buddy hits Andretti with a running pump kick for a two count. Sydal makes the hot tag and he takes down Buddy before going after Malakai with a rising knee strike. Sydal dodges King’s charge, sending him over the top rope, but Buddy and Malakai catch Matt into a powerbomb / backbreaker combo going into the commercial break. Later in the bout, Sydal hits Buddy with the poisonrana and makes the hot tag to Dante. Martin takes Malakai down and shotgun dropkicks Brody. He dives over the top rope for a dive onto King for good measure. Action tags in and dives onto Buddy on the outside. Action turns around into a moonsault from Malakai. The babyfaces prevent Dante’s Inferno and hit stereo superkicks on the heels. Brody recovers and wipes out Andretti with a spinning lariat. Action comes back with a 450 on Brody for only a one count. The heels triple team Sydal in the corner with double running boots and the cannonball, and that’s enough for the three count.
  • Toni Storm and Mariah May are interviewed backstage. Storm teases another kiss with Mariah May before instead directing trash talk towards AZM. She talks about fetish publications before doing the tits out catchphrase.
  • There’s footage of Chris Jericho confronting Taz after Dynamite. Jericho asks Taz to get HOOK to respond to him. Taz says he’ll try, but HOOK is unpredictable and does his own thing. Taz will try to broker a meeting between them on Dynamite.
  • Katsuyori Shibata defeats Lee Moriarty. Anthony Ogogo is on commentary and talks about how great he is. Ogogo says STP will bring out that killer’s instinct in Moriarty. Shibata follows Moriarty to the outside. Ogogo turns him around to feign a knock out punch, but then goes for a gut punch when the ref isn’t looking. Shibata struggles back into the ring heading into the commercial break. Shibata is obliterating Moriarty with strikes in the corner after the break. Both men take turns blasting each other with running kicks in the middle of the ring. Shibata gets Lee down on the mat and puts him away with a thunderous PK for the three count.
  • Shane Taylor attacks Shibata after the match. HOOK comes out for the save and hits Moriarty with a suplex. Shane Taylor leaves the ring to keep Ogogo from getting in there with HOOK.
  • Athena and Billie Starkz are interviewed backstage. Athena vows to make an example out of Red Velvet and show the world what they’ve been missing.
  • The Undisputed Kingdom is interviewed backstage. Roderick Strong is insulted by a question about giving Wardlow credit for helping him retain the International title. Strong says he doesn’t give credit to anybody besides himself, and he’s going to beat the hell out of Rocky Romero.
  • Daniel Garcia defeats Angelico. Schiavone mentions that Daniel Garcia is friends with FTR and wasn’t happy with what the Young Bucks did to them on Dynamite. The commentators run down the upcoming schedule of events in the early part of the match. They engage in some foot fighting after rolling around with a figure four leglock. Garcia is smoked with a right hand to the face, but he comes back to nail Angelico with a swinging neckbreaker. Garcia forces Angelico to tap out to a knee bar submission.
  • PAC cuts a backstage promo on Okada. Okada is not God’s gift to professional wrestling. He’s crap, and PAC will prove it at Dynasty.
  • Toni Storm defeats AZM in an AEW women’s championship eliminator match. Storm laughs off some blows to the chest. AZM stimps her foot instead, and Storm takes her down with a shoulder tackle. AZM comes back with a dropkick. She digs the sole of her shoe into Toni’s head on the mat. Storm uses her flying ass to knock AZM onto the floor outside. Anna Jay and Mariah May gte into a brawl on the outside and they fight towards the back. AZM sends Storm into the steel steps and kicks her in the face heading into the break. AZM with a German suplex after the break. She goes up top for a shotgun kick for a near fall. Storm blocks a head kick and nails AZM with a release German suplex. She nails the flying ass in the corner and puts AZM away with Storm Zero for the three count.
  • Storm and Mariah May celebrate afterwards with champagne and face licking.
  • Red Velvet cuts a promo on Athena saying she made a big mistake coming into her house.
  • Mark Briscoe cuts a promo backstage on House of Black. He’s not afraid of House of Black. They are the ones who should be afraid of him, Eddie Kingston, and Adam Copeland at Dynasty.
  • Tony Schiavone introduces Thunder Rosa for an interview. Rosa thanks the people for making her comeback special. She doesn’t need help to win the AEW women’s world championship. That comment is directed towards Deonna Purrazzo. She doesn’t know why Toni Storm went crazy in the head. She will humble Toni at Dynasty and take back the belt she never lost, even if she has to break every single bone in her body to empower every woman in the locker room to prove that AEW is where the best wrestle. Storm made a big mistake trying to take off her face paint, because she doesn’t want to see what’s underneath. Rosa will drag her soul to hell.
  • Purrazzo responds in the back by saying she’s the one who embodies what the AEW women’s world championship is all about. She fights Mariah May next week and will break her arm.
  • Kyle Fletcher and Powerhouse Hobbs cut a promo on BCC. Hobbs guarantees that Danielson won’t be able to walk out of tonight’s main event on his own.
  • Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli defeat Powerhouse Hobbs & Kyle Fletcher. Things get out of hand late in the fight with Fletcher exposing the concrete under the outside mat, looking to injure Bryan on it. Bryan backdrops his way out of danger. Claudio tags in and launches a barrage of uppercuts on Hobbs in the corner. He runs across the ring to uppercut Fletcher in the other corner. Claudio somehow gets Hobbs in the Giant Swing to the delight of the live fans. He locks in the sharpshooter. Fletcher repeatedly kicks Claudio until he drops the hold. All four men are trading blows inside the ring. Bryan dumps Kyle out of the ring and dives onto him. Claudio hits the Death Valley Driver on Hobbs for a near fall. Claudio knocks Hobbs down with a running lariat for another two count. Kyle trips Claudio up and Hobbs takes him down with a lariat. Hobbs follows up with the world’s strongest slam, but Bryan breaks up the pin attempt. Hobbs grabs a steel chair but the ref grabs it from him. Fletcher nails Bryan with a dive through the ropes. The heels clear off the announce table. Claudio uppercuts Hobbs over the table and sends Kyle into the ring mat. He follows up with the neutralizer on Kyle for the three count.
  • Konosuke Takeshita attacks Claudio after the match is over, and now it’s a 3 on 2 beatdown inside the ring. Takeshita hits Bryan with a brainbuster on the rampway. Claudio runs them off with a chair, as Daddy Magic says the Don Callis family accomplished their mission to injure Bryan.
  • That’s the end of Collision. Battle of the Belts is up next.

Battle of the Belts kicks off with HOOK and Shibata in the back. Shibata says he’ll have HOOK’s back tonight, but HOOK says he’ll deal with STP on his own.

HOOK (c) vs. Shane Taylor for the FTW championship. Anthony Ogogo accompanies Taylor to the ring.
