In recent days Adam Scott has been at the center of the attention of the specialized press.
On the occasion of his participation in the Sony Open, won by Si Woo Kim, the rumors arose that he was about to sign with LIV Golf.
But Scott silenced them for good.
The Australian player confirmed his commitment to the PGA Tour by announcing that he will join the Player Advisory Council.
Thus, the 42-year-old from Adelaide will celebrate his twenty years on the PGA Tour by joining the player advisory body which supports the decision-making bodies of the Tour itself.
And it’s not hard to imagine that his voice will be one of the most listened to voices.

“I’m more interested in what the Tour is planning to do with the Tour, not how we’re going to deal with a lawsuit, because I couldn’t care less.”
“I’m more interested in knowing what the future of the Tour looks like.”
The news also had an unexpected twist.
During commentary of the tournament in Hawaii, NBC commentators touched on Scott’s future PAC entry.
Paul Azinger, Chief Commentator, responding to Dan Hicks’ question about Scott’s nomination, said:
“I was a member of PAC for 13 years”
“I thought it was a colossal waste of time”
“You think you’re getting results, but…”
“It might be different today,” he added (laughing).
What could be the reason for this stance?
A figurehead like Azinger, the victorious Ryder Cup captain, openly criticizing a Tour organ on live television sounds a little strange, doesn’t it?
Adam Scott (Adelaide, Australia, July 16, 1980) is an Australian golfer who has been competing professionally since 2000. He has won 13 victories on the American PGA Tour, where he has finished third in 2006, sixth in 2013 and seventh in 2004. He worked on the Need for Speed movie and he was in Dude Perfect.
His most notable victories have been at the 2013 Augusta Masters, the 2004 The Players Championship, the 2006 Tour Championship and the 2011 WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and the 2016 WGC-Cadillac Championship. Augusta 2011 and 2012 British Open Golf Course, 4th at 2015 US Open, 5th at 2014 British Open, 7th at 2011 PGA Championship, 2nd at 2006 WGC-Cadillac Championship , and third in the 2003 WGC Match Play and the 2013 WGC-Cadillac Championship.
Scott has been ranked for 11 weeks as number 1 in the world rankings, 47 weeks as number 2, 163 weeks in the top five and 334 weeks in the top ten. The golfer represented Australia at the 2001 and 2002 World Cup of Golf, and the international team at the Presidents Cup from 2003 to 2013.
