This young South African golfer, winner of the Amateur Championship in 2022 at just 17 years old, made history by becoming the youngest winner of the American second division at the age of 19 years, 4 months and 11 days. He thus erased Jason Day (19 years, 7 months and 26 days in 2007) and Sungjae Im (19 years, 9 months and 17 days in 2018) from the record books.
Aldrich Potgieter had already attracted attention the previous summer by making an albatross on a par 4 during a PGA Tour Monday Qualifier.
