250 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 ANAHEIM 1 SUPERCROSS
The 2024 Monster Energy Supercross season is officially here and MXA is on hand to cover all the action from Anaheim 1. In the 250 class Jo Shimoda, Rj Hampshire and Nate Thrasher are expected to run up front, along with the new Pro Circuit Kawasaki riders, Levi Kitchen and Max Vohland and the experienced 250 class veteran, Jordon Smith will be a threat as well. Julien Beaumer is representing Red Bull KTM on the West Coast as a rookie who impressed everyone with his speed in Supercross futures last year.
The A1 Supercross marks the start of an exciting new year of racing, and the 250 class is full of unknowns with no former Champions on the line this year. With both Lawrence brothers officially moved up to the 450 class, the gate is wide open for a new rider to claim the 250SX West Championship.

250 OVERALL QUALIFYING RESULTS
The 250 class was full of young testosterone-filled athletes going wide open to get the fastest lap time of the day and set the tone going into the first night show of the season. The Anaheim 1 track is technical, especially in the rhythm lane directly after the start straight away. However, the rest of the track is fairly straightforward, the fast line is to triple-quad-quad-single through the first base line rhythm section and all of the top guys are doing it on their best laps. This time it was Levi Kitchen scoring the fastest time going into the night show, but the top seven are still very close on times, within one second of Levi.

Ryder Difrancesco is making his Supercross debut with a new team, Red Bull Troy Lee Designs GasGas.
RJ Hampshire was battling for the fastest qualifying spot, but he was knocked off the top by Jordon Smith.
Garrett Marchbanks is on the gas as usual, looking racy so far in practice.
Billy Laninovich is 40 years old and making a comeback to Supercross in the 250SX West class. For those who don’t remember Billy, he won the San Francisco Supercross 125SX Main Event back in 2002. Billy was 7th quickest in the first 250 B Group qualifying session.
