Several more defensive players come off the board.

Picks 21-24 are below.

No. 21 – Dolphins – Taliese Fuaga, OT, Oregon State

The draft works out well for the Dolphins, as the best player available fits a position of need. PFF gave him the highest run blocking grade in FBS last year. He is athletic and agile to take blocks to the second level and can step in to play RT immediately or even fill in at guard for his rookie year before moving to the outside.

No. 22 – Eagles – Kool-Aid McKinstry, CB, Alabama

The selection and write-up were made by Thomas Moore:

The Eagles did not address the cornerback position in free agency, which points to the draft and the selection of Kool-Aid McKinstry. McKinstry may not have top measurables, but he is smart, productive, and can play in any defensive scheme.

No. 23 – Vikings – Chop Robinson, DE, Penn State

Having gotten their QB at pick #11, the Vikings look to find an impact player on the other side of the ball. Grabbing an OT such as JC Latham or WR Brian Thomas were strong possibilities here, but given the recent defections on the defensive side of the ball the decision was made to bring a pass rusher instead. Robinson has a never ending motor with a good first step, good bend and enough power to be effective in run support.

The Vikings come out of the first round with their QB of the future and a cornerstone for their defense. Not a bad night’s work.

No. 24 – Cowboys – Brian Thomas Jr, WR, LSU

While Dallas has needs elsewhere, adding another top-level receiver could help take Dak Prescott to the next level and give them a talent across from CeeDee Lamb. Thomas needs some refining but will get a chance to do that behind Lamb without having the pressure of being the top receiver on his team.

Up next will be the 25-28 picks in the 2024 DBN Community Mock Draft.
