We have a kicker!

We have the second of the two picks the Minnesota Vikings are making in the sixth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and, ladies and gentlemen, we have a kicker.

With the 203rd pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings have selected kicker Will Reichard from the University of Alabama.

Reichard is the all-time NCAA leader in points scored with 539 and was a two-time Second-Team All-American with the Crimson Tide. That seems to be pretty solid. For his career, he connected on 84% of his field goal attempts and 295 of 297 extra points.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Reichard as the #1 kicker in this year’s draft class. There really isn’t much of a scouting report on him because. . .you know. . .kicker.

With Greg Joseph departing for Green Bay in free agency, the only kicker currently on the Vikings’ roster is John Parker Romo. So, ladies and gentlemen, it appears that we have a kicking competition.

Welcome to Minnesota, Will Reichard!
