Not a big trade at all

The Minnesota Vikings have executed the first trade of the 2024 NFL Draft, and they’ve done it with the New York Jets.

The Vikings have moved up one spot to the tenth overall pick. They also receive pick #203 overall from the Jets in exchange for picks #11, #129, and #157.

This means that the Vikings are, likely, going to be selecting a quarterback in the top ten for the first time in franchise history. Prior to now, their highest selected quarterback was at #11 when they selected Daunte Culpepper at that spot in 1999.

This also means that the Vikings will keep their other first-round pick at #23, the pick they acquired from the Houston Texans about six weeks ago. They could use that to supplement the defense or move down to acquire more picks.

In any case, the Minnesota Vikings are on the clock and we’ll have more on their pick here in just a little bit!
