Jinder Mahal and Xia Li are among those who have been let go.

During this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, two wrestlers for WWE took to Twitter to make clear they are no longer with the company.

First, Jinder Mahal posted the following:

PW Insider has since confirmed he was released and is currently under a 90-day no compete clause.

After rubbing shoulders with The Rock and parlaying that into a championship match, Mahal wasn’t used much after.

A short time after, Xia Li posted a far longer, much more heartfelt farewell message:

Li had been with WWE dating all the way back to the Mae Young Classic in 2017. After a run in NXT, she was called up to the main roster and flirted with a big push a time or two but never really caught on. She had some big matches thrown in there but there was never a sustained run and she, like Mahal, eventually stopped appearing on television for large stretches.

For whatever it’s worth, a graphic was shown promoting a battle royal for the women’s world championship on Raw next week and Li was included in said graphic.

Fightful Select then reported that Xyon Quinn has also been released by WWE. Quinn had been designated as a “free agent” and therefore able to appear on any brand but he rarely did so.

More as it comes in.
