The tournaments get underway in Hartford next week.
Now that Backlash is officially in the books from France, it’s time to look ahead to the next premium live event on the WWE schedule. The promotion will once again travel to Saudi Arabia to crown a new King & Queen of the Ring.
That means getting the tournaments for each underway, and that starts on Monday Night Raw in Hartford next week:

We don’t actually have a bracket just yet but they did announce some first round matchups.
King of the Ring:
- Drew McIntyre vs. Finn Balor
- Kofi Kingston vs. Rey Mysterio
- Ricochet vs. Ilja Dragunov
- GUNTHER vs. Sheamus
Queen of the Ring:
- Zoey Stark vs. Ivy Nile
- Shayna Baszler vs. Zelina Vega
- Lyra Valkyria vs. Asuka
- Iyo Sky vs. Natalya
They also revealed we’ll learn more first round matchups soon because they tournaments will continue on Friday Night SmackDown next week. We’re already getting started with a bang considering the potential quality of the matches we’ll be getting in just a couple nights.
