Jordan Love is going to get paid, but when?

Organized Team Activities, whose existence implies unorganized team activities, are off and running in Green Bay, and once again the quarterback’s contract is the source of takes and conversation.

Well, kind of. It’s not really like it was the last couple of years of the Aaron Rodgers era, nor does anyone seem really concerned about whether or not Jordan Love’s extension is going to be done. In fact, there are two things we seem to know for sure about his extension: it’s going to get done, and it’s going to get big.

In a world where Jared Goff commands more than $50 million per year, Love, who’s more talented and younger though less accomplished, would presumably get at least that much. And the Packers will (and should!) happily pay it. The worst thing an NFL team can be is irrelevant at the quarterback position, and Love at least gives them some measure of certainty at the game’s most important job.

But contract questions aside, he’s in Green Bay, he’s putting in work, and sooner or later, everybody will be happy. Everybody but Russ Ball, I suppose.
