Our community members are satisfied with either Aidan O’Connell or Gardner Minshew
The biggest question of the 2024 Las Vegas Raiders’ offseason has yet to be answered.
Yet, we’re down to two options.
The Raiders’ starting quarterback this season will either be second-year incumbent Aidan O’Connell or newly signed free-agent veteran Gardner Minshew. That became a reality when the Raiders didn’t use a high draft pick on a quarterback.
So, the decision will be made after training camp and in the preseason.
After the draft, we asked our community members if were comfortable with the reality that the Raiders were going to enter the season with either O’Connell or Minshew under center.
It was a valid question for two reasons:
- It’s happening.
- Many fans expected a highly-rated rookie to join the franchise.
The results were clear — fans are ready to proceed with either O’Connell or Minshew this season. In a poll with 1,746 votes, a whopping 78 percent (1,368 votes) are comfortable with the Raiders’ quarterback situation, while just 22 percent (378 votes) stated they are nervous about the setup.
We don’t know if it will be a success, but as we approach the season, our community members are confident.
