WATCH: Novak Djokovic’s Roland Garros outfit revealed

on

Novak Djokovic’s Australian campaign ended in the semi-finals of the Australian Open 2024, defeated in four sets by eventual champion Jannik Sinner. The Serbian champion appeared in a precarious physical condition, unlike what was seen in his sparkling 2023.

Nole took a short period of time to recharge for future tournaments. In March, in fact, he will return to the Indian Wells hard-courts after a four-year absence. Djokovic will concentrate on playing the last tournaments of the first part of the season as best as possible, before focusing on the clay season.

It’s no secret that the Serbian star will be the man to beat at the Roland Garros. Djokovic will experience the most intense period of his season in those months. Between the Roland Garros, Wimbledon and the Paris Olympics, Nole will have the chance to break new incredible tennis records.

And speaking of the Roland Garros, the Serbian champion will wear an outfit in theme with the clay-courts of the season. The very elegant Lacoste polo shirt will be available in three colours. Orange at the top, garnet at the bottom, divided in half by a thin white stripe.

On the sides, the polo shirt will have two burgundy-colored inserts: a color that will also be taken up by the shorts. These are similar colors to which the 3-time winner of the Roland Garros has already worn in the past, during the clay-season.

Nole jokes about his defeat at the Australian Open 2024

After finishing his career at the Australian Open early, the Serb dedicated himself to his family, spending a few days of holiday in Trentino Alto Adige, in Northern Italy, precisely in Bolzano.

In the last few hours the number one was the protagonist, together with Andy Murray and Andrey Rublev, of a video in which they played their character in a sort of reality show. Nole explained in a funny way the reasons for his defeat in the quarter-finals in Melbourne, blaming one person, the director of the show.

“Usually the writers start the season with my character Novak winning the Australian Open title. So if you don’t like the start of this season, contact the director!” he joked.

Speaking of Djokovic, Becker, former coach of Nole and more recently of Holger Rune, focused on the Serb’s behavior after the defeat against Sinner, which particularly surprised him.

“Novak’s reaction after the defeat was surprising. We don’t usually see him so relaxed after defeats. Novak probably realized that his form wasn’t the best in Melbourne this year. Moreover, Jannik simply played better than him. Novak is the best of all time in return and Sinner still failed to score a match point in the third set tie-break. This is the story of the match. Novak hasn’t been at his best in Melbourne this year, struggling to find pace from the baseline in almost every game. What he had wasn’t enough to beat Jannik,” Becker said.
