The 2024 VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) Pacific League is right around the corner. Unlike the first year of the league, there is no international kickoff tournament similar to the VCT LOCK//IN. Instead, each league will have its own Kickoff tournament. The VCT Pacific Kickoff will happen from Feb. 17 to 25. Here’s everything you need to know about it.

What is the VCT Pacific Kickoff Tournament?
The VCT Pacific Kickoff features 11 partnered teams across the Pacific region that will compete against each other to qualify for the VCT Masters 2024 in Madrid. Here are the teams who will lock horns in the competition:
- Detonation FocusMe
- DRX
- Gen.G
- Global Esports
- Paper Rex
- RRQ
- T1
- Talon Esports
- Team Secret
- Zeta Division
- Bleed Esports
This intense 8-day competition will help set the bar for excellence throughout the rest of the year. The Kickoff will be split into three phases.
It will start off with the group stage which will be played in a GSL format with 11 teams seeded randomly into 3 groups. The main influence of the double elimination brackets on the GSL-style format is that the first two matches are played as usual, with the victor going into the winners’ bracket and the loser going into the losers’ bracket. As Pacific Champions last year, however, Paper Rex will be automatically seeded into Group C. This has been done to give them an edge for their performance in the previous season.

This is followed by Play-ins which will be structured into a single round-robin format. The four remaining teams that make it through will qualify for Playoffs where they will fight through a single elimination bracket. From here, the top two teams will earn a spot at the Masters Madrid, the first global VCT event of the year.
What Is The Schedule For The Upcoming Kickoff Tournament?
The complete schedule for the VCT Pacific Kickoff is as follows:
- Group stage (17 – 21 February)
- Matches on 17, 19 and 21 February will start from 15:00 KST // 14:00 GMT+8
- Matches on 18 and 20 February will start from 17:00 KST // 16:00 GMT+8
- Play-ins (22 February): Matches will start from 15:00 KST // 14:00 GMT+8
- Playoffs (24 – 25 February): Matches will start from 17:00 KST // 16:00 GMT+8

Some Important Information About The Tickets For the Event
Fan feedback for a more accessible venue has been heard! Riot has stated that the VCT Pacific Kickoff is set to unfold at the vibrant S FACTORY, nestled in the heart of Seongsu-Dong, a cultural haven for the youth. It does seem that the VCT Pacific Kickoff as well as the Pacific League might be taking place in a new venue this year.
