During the match between Samoa Joe and Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy, Samoa Joe hit a suicide dive outside the ring that caused him to get banged up. Joe was quietly removed during commercial which caused the remainder of the match to be a 2-on-1 match. The commentators did acknowledge that Joe was hurt during the suicide dive, but claimed it was due to how hard he hit his opponent. The speculation was that Joe hit his head on the floor and suffered a concussion. Owens put up a good fight but inevitably lost in the end.
Despite how well the match played out, the injury to Joe was in fact real and was not a staged event. He was evaluated backstage but nothing official has been announced yet.
