Triple H Talks Competition and WWE NXT Creating Its Own

Triple H spoke with the media today to promote Wednesday’s WWE NXT premiere on the USA Network, and said the NXT brand is competing with itself these days.

Responding to a comment on how exciting times are coming up in the pro wrestling world, an apparent reference to AEW and WWE ramping up their TV this fall, Triple H noted that competition makes everything better.

“I think that is what this whole thing is about,” Triple H said of those exciting times. “I know there’s a lot of conversation about competition and everything else, but truth is, we compete with ourselves. I want to put the best show possible on every week now. I want to put the best show possible against RAW, against SmackDown, against anybody.

“I want to compete against ourselves, to have the best show we can. That competition, that’s what leads to the best stuff in the business. From a product standpoint, when you have competition it makes everything good. So, we create our own.”
