Ring of Honor has a new championship in the mix. Tony Khan made a special announcement on ROH TV (episode 43) to unveil the ROH Women’s World Television Championship.

Commentary stated that more information about the ROH women’s TV title will be provided in the coming weeks. As of this moment, there was no mention yet on how the new champion will be crowned.
The betting favorite to win the new strap is Billie Starkz. She fought her heart out in a losing effort to Athena for the ROH Women’s World Championship at Final Battle. After the bout, the minion reunited with her mentor when respect was gained. Logically, this prize gives purpose for Starkz to set a goal in acquiring that gold.
Other notable names include Taya Valkyrie and Nyla Rose. Both wrestlers competed on the Final Battle card in showcase wins. However, La Wera Loca and the Native Beast could be in line building up new challengers for Athena. The Fallen Goddess has cleared out the ROH women’s division, and the champ needs contenders with star power.
If ROH goes the route of developmental championship, Leyla Hirsch, Trish Adora, and the Renegade twins are options. I’d expect Marina Shafir, Diamante, Kiera Hogan, and Rachael Ellering to also be in the mix as consistent wrestlers on ROH TV.
Who do you think will be the inaugural titleholder for the ROH Women’s World Television Championship?
