The road to WrestleMania 40 is right around the corner; this is the time of year when fans get excited trying to figure out which matches will be booked on the biggest wrestling show of the year, starting with predicting the winners of the Royal Rumble matches.

Becky Lynch will be among the favorites to win the women’s Royal Rumble match, assuming she gets through her current feud with Nia Jax without suffering another broken face. In an interview with Strutting From Gorilla, The Man made it clear that once she’s done beating Jax, that will put Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley in her sights for WrestleMania 40:

“And then there is the next stop, which is taking that title off Rhea Ripley. Because that title, when I hold that title, that title is the main event of every show. Now her title has been seen in many main events, but not because she’s been defending it, no, just because she’s been the accompaniment to the main event, and I can’t have that. And I’m sick of that. I am sick of that and I’m gonna take that title back off her, preferably at WrestleMania.”

Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER is also thinking about who he will face at WrestleMania 40. In an interview this week on Busted Open Radio, GUNTHER reiterated that he wants Brock Lesnar to be his end boss, but he’s not sure if that fight will fall into place in time for WrestleMania 40:

“I don’t know if WrestleMania 40 is the time for that, but we’ll see. But I feel like in the long run the one name I always bring up is Brock. Because I feel like I’m the end boss to a lot of people, but I feel like Brock is somebody that perfected being an end boss, and I’ve got to prove myself with him in the ring too.”

Will you be a happy wrestling fan if WWE books Becky Lynch vs. Rhea Ripley and Brock Lesnar vs. GUNTHER at the showcase of the immortals? Do you think it will actually happen?
