Spring Breakin’ does some of NXT’s best numbers of the year

And they did it despite competition from the NBA & NXT Playoffs on April 23.

The ratings and viewership data are in for the Apr. 23 episode of WWE NXT.

According to Wrestlenomics, the show averaged 661,000 viewers and scored a 0.20 rating among 18-49 year olds. Both are up from the previous Tuesday and the show’s best since January.

It’s an impressive performance for Week One of the brand’s Spring Breakin’ shows, especially considering it was up against the NBA and NHL Playoffs. Ratings information isn’t in for Tuesday night’s games yet, but they certainly did better numbers than what NXT usually competes with.

Spring Breakin’ continues next week, with a roster that should look different after the WWE Draft. The basketball and hockey post-seasons will still be going on though, so we’ll see how NXT does to end the month. Until then…
