Serena Williams and her partnership with Nike continues, despite the former US legend leaving tennis in September 2022. However, the partnership between the company and the 23-time Grand Slam champion is still ongoing, prompting Nike to dedicate the largest building on the Nike Campus headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon, the Serena Williams Building.

And the collaboration continues these days with the latest Nike sneaker, Air More Uptempo, designed by Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike. The Serena Williams Design Crew x Nike Air More Uptempo shoe will be available from February 1, 2023 on the official Nike website.

The Air More Uptempo sneakers by Serena Williams and Nike have been updated in the Dark Obsidian/Space and Purple/Volt/Summit White color themes, giving the shoe a complete style makeover. The upper of the Air More Uptempo sneaker from Nike comes exclusively with a denim-like material, which is contrasted with Volt throughout with stitched detailing.

A mix of materials, with twill-denim as the basis for the upper, together with ribbed tongues. Further contrasts can be seen in the Space Purple version on the labels and mini Swoosh. The seams of the Air More Uptempo are highlighted in volts, eye-catchingly emphasizing the AIR branding.

Serena star also in business

Not only in singles Serena Williams can boast numerous victories, but also in women’s doubles and mixed doubles, where there are 16 other Grand Slam tournaments: 14 won with her older sister Venus and two in mixed doubles, both obtained with Maks Mirny in 1998.

To these successes must be added three other gold medals at the Olympics, all won together with Venus, a Federation Cup and two Hopman Cups. Serena managed to earn 340 million dollars thanks to sponsorship contracts. Forbes last spring placed her in 31st place in the 2022 ranking of the highest paid athletes in the world.

Serena Williams is also on the Forbes ranking of the richest self-made women in the United States. In this case, she ranks ninetieth with an estimated $ 260 million in assets. The only other athlete present is Maria Sharapova, who found herself in 97th place with a fortune of forty million dollars less than her former colleague.

Serena Williams, cofounder of Will Perform, which targets physical recovery from workouts with topical pain relief, muscle and skin care products, could broaden the offerings.

Serena said: “My coach said: The one who recovers the best is the one who wins. All of us athletes put our bodies on the line every single day. It’s so important to be able to recover. In recent years, especially towards the end In my career, I’ve started to think more about recovery and also the role that has played in my career. I want to provide things that people really need and things that I can actually use that are very authentic to me.”
