Report: AEW signs former NWA Women’s champion Kamille

It’s believed that former NWA Women’s champion Kamille has been a free agent since the start of the year. A report quickly surfaced that she’d been offered a WWE NXT contract, but if the offer happened we’ve yet to see any indication it was signed.

Kamille’s teased revealing her next move a few times since then, most recently over the weekend when she tweeted and deleted a response to a fan that claimed she’d signed with a wrestling promotion back in February. She tried to play that one off as a misunderstanding…

… but maybe there was some truth to it? Fightful Select is now saying that Kamille “is slated to join AEW, and is under contract with the company”.

The report doesn’t have any additional details about when the 31 year old will debut, how long or how much the deal is for, or how far along negotiations got with other suitors. But we should hear more about all of those things with time.

For now, it seems that someone who held the NWA’s top women’s title for more than 800 days is joining Mercedes Moné and Timeless Toni Storm in AEW. Give us your thoughts on that in the comments below, Cagesiders.
