Las Vegas is excited about quarterback
The Las Vegas Raiders signed South Alabama quarterback Carter Bradley as an undrafted free agent.
Let’s take a closer look at Bradley:
Size:
6-3, 215 pounds.
2023 Stats:
He started 11 games and missed some time with a knee injury. He threw for 2,660 yards and 19 touchdowns. He was an honorable mention All-Sun Belt 12 player. He was a key in a 33-7 upset over Oklahoma State. He played in the 2024 Senior Bowl where he was impressive and was not overshadowed by higher-profile prospects.
Career highlights:
Bradley is South Alabama’s all-time leader in completions, passing yards and touchdowns. In 2023, he set school single-season records for passing yards, completions and touchdowns, He was at Toledo from 2018-21 and missed a season with a torn labrum. He was a part-time starter there before transferring.
Not first Raider in the family:
His father, Gus Bradley, was the Raiders’ defensive coordinator in 2021. He is now the DC with the Indianapolis Colts.
How he will fit in with Raiders:
Bradley, who is already 24, will try to stick as a No. 3 quarterback or as a practice-squad candidate in 2024. He is known as a smart player who has a great grasp for offense with some physical limitations. Still, he may be worth developing.
