Ahead of the launch of Overwatch Season 10, the new Hero is here for a brief trial. Venture is live in the game for a limited time! Much like the early release of Mauga, Blizzard are allowing players to test out their latest add on to the Overwatch cast. Venture, will arrive in full soon. However, for the next few days fans can test them out.
This early trial will be active in the game over March 28-31. It’s really just the extended weekend. However, this early trial will serve a few purposes. For one thing it’ll get players hyped to try out the latest new character. It’ll also give Blizzard a peak at how their performing. They can then balance the hero better before the new Overwatch season begins. What do we know about Venture, the latest Overwatch hero!

Venture Coming to Overwatch Early
Over the next few days players will be able to test to Venture, a new Overwatch hero. They’re the latest DPS character to come to the game. That’s probably the most popular role, but since its heroes outweigh the others it hasn’t received as much new content lately. Venture is one of our first new DPS Heroes added in quite a while.
This new Hero has some interesting abilities on offer for players. This is how the new Hero works.
- Burrow – Move underground
- Tetonic Shock – Ultimate, sends out a large shockwave
- Drill Dash – Dash forward and send enemies backward
- Explorer’s Resolve (Passive – Get a temporary shield when using an ability
- Clobber (Passive) – Quick melee does extra damage.
Those are the new abilities. They’re also using a seismic charge weapon which should make even their standard gameplay fun.
Venture will be unlocked in full with the launch of Season 10, currently scheduled for next month. They’ll join other Overwatch Heroes in the main game for a limited time this week though.
