And while João Félix is more than ever on the start, the profile of Nicolò Zaniolo would greatly appeal to Diego Simeone. Linked to AS Roma until June 2024, the Italian international (11 caps, 2 goals) would delay in discussions with his club which would like to see him extended, according to information from the Italian daily Il Messaggero.
If the idea of bringing in the elegant left-hander at the end of his contract exists, Atlético de Madrid will have to rely on fierce competition to achieve it. Estimated at €30m, Zaniolo is also tracked by Borussia Dortmud, Juventus Turin and AC Milan, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.
