The results of Sunday’s wild card games have updated the schedule for the divisional round of the 2024 NFL playoffs.

The combination of the Dallas Cowboys losing (insert Nelson Muntz laugh here) to the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions beating the Los Angeles Rams means the winner of Monday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be headed to Ford Field next Sunday.

That’s a relatively ideal result for the Birds. It sure beats going to play the San Francisco 49ers on the road. Of course, the Eagles were not too far away from actually being able to host a playoff game had the Rams won.

On one hand, it’s hard to have any confidence in an Eagles team that hasn’t played good football in what feels like forever. On the other hand, they are still actually favored to beat a Bucs team that isn’t great and will likely be starting an injured Baker Mayfield.

The playoffs are already off to a crazy start. Maybe the next wild thing to happen is the Eagles actually winning a football game?!
