The Bears have added to the trenches!
The Chicago Bears selected Yale offensive tackle Kiran Amegadjie with the 75th overall pick in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
General manager Ryan Poles continues the trend of taking local prospects, as Amegadjie is from Hinsdale, Illinois. He checks in at 6’5”, 323 pounds with 36 1/8’’ arm length. Most of his experience came at left tackle, but he did play over 600 snaps at guard in 2021. Scouts feel his technique needs some refinement, but he’s an athletic prospect. He’s a better run blocker than a pass blocker, but he has the length and quick feet to improve.
NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein has a third-round grade on him and believes he’ll eventually become a starter.
Amegadjie will join fellow rookies quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze for a new era of Bears offensive football.
We’ll record an immediate reaction podcast about the selection, so check that out right here as soon as it publishes from our 2nd City Gridiron channels.
