New Rumors on WrestleMania 36 Matches for The Fiend and Brock Lesnar

on

There are new rumors on what WWE has planned for WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and WWE Universal Champion “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36.

WWE officials are considering another match between Lesnar and Cain Velasquez, according to Alex McCarthy of talkSPORT. Velasquez made his WWE debut with a quick loss to Lesnar back at WWE Crown Jewel on October 31. The WrestleMania 36 bout would be the “rubber match” between the two as their first fight came for the UFC Heavyweight Title years ago, which Cain won. McCarthy also floated the idea of Vince McMahon being interested in a boxing world champion vs. Lesnar at WrestleMania if Tyson Fury is able to beat Deontay Wilder to become the WBC heavyweight champion. That fight is rumored for February.

Regarding plans for “The Fiend” and his Universal Title, McCarthy noted that the current bookmaker’s favorite is for Roman Reigns to win the 2020 Royal Rumble in January, then go on to challenge, and likely defeat, Wyatt at WrestleMania.

It should be noted that these are strictly rumors for now.

WrestleMania 36 takes place on April 5, 2020 in Tampa. Stay tuned for updates on the show.
