Merengue’s lunar calendar with Manchester City

If La Liga seems difficult to reach with eleven points behind Barça and still nine games to play, the Merengues are only one game away from winning the Copa del Rey with the final to come against Osasuna, and will have to rub Manchester City in a highly anticipated Champions League semi-final. But before heading to Europe and Pep Guardiola, Carlo Ancelotti’s men will have to face a daunting schedule in which they could lose their feathers! Indeed, they will play no less than six matches in… 18 days!

Ancelotti will have to manage

Place first of all in La Liga on April 22 and the reception of Celta Vigo, then a trip to Girona on the 25th, the arrival of Almeria on the 29th, a trip to Real Sociedad on May 2, the final of the King on May 6, and finally the first leg of the Champions League semi-finals against Manchester City on May 9. There could therefore be only 48 hours between possible celebrations of the King’s Cup victory (on the 7th) and the shock against the Citizens in the European Cup (the 9th). Enough to promise a completely crazy end to the season where Carlo Ancelotti will once again have to prove all his talents to preserve a group to draw the quintessence from it in the best moments.
